Last summer, after an extended hiking trip in Switzerland, I checked in to Badrutt's Palace Hotel and soon felt like a queen in a fairytale palace. My room - with its view of the lake: flowervases filled with roses; a tray full of Swiss treats; and a magnificent bathroom with a huge tub, and elegant bath amenities, plus butler service - was the perfect antidote to a week of beautiful but strenuous hiking. What a treat to swim in the heated indoor pool and then submit to a massage! After 24 hours of pampering and luxury. I felt rejuvenated, refreshed and ready for the next adventure. |
