Badrutt's Palace Hotel, situated amidst breathtakingly beautiful and unspoiled scenery, has long been hailed as a landmark in the center of St. Moritz and is the ultimate expression of the Swiss Alps region. A favorite of celebrities and royalty alike since its opening in 1896, The Palace Hotel offers 165 guestrooms and suites with stunning views of the Swiss Alps. Badrutt's Palace is a celebration of style, sports, cuisine and fashion, with discreet service and traditional elegance evoking an atmosphere of pampered luxury for all. An ideal destination in both winter and summer, the hotel is located in one of the most challenging ski areas in the world and offers a host of summer alpine activities. Guests find the ultimate in relaxation at the spa, exciting nightlife at the Kings Club, and world-renown cuisine in the hotel's restaurants and nearby Chesa Veglia.
Last summer, after an extended hiking trip in Switzerland, I checked in to Badrutt's Palace Hotel and soon felt like a queen in a fairytale palace. My room - with its view of the lake: flowervases filled with roses; a tray full of Swiss treats; and a magnificent bathroom with a huge tub, and elegant bath amenities, plus butler service - was the perfect antidote to a week of beautiful but strenuous hiking. What a treat to swim in the heated indoor pool and then submit to a massage! After 24 hours of pampering and luxury. I felt rejuvenated, refreshed and ready for the next adventure.
The Badrutt’s Palace Hotel, opened in 1896 by Caspar Badrutt, was the first Palace hotel in the world. For more than 100 years, it has enjoyed an international reputation of high hospitality. The Palace, with its tower and the unforgettable silhouette, has become a symbol of St. Moritz. The famous Palace occupies a central but quiet location in six acres of private grounds with views of the lake and mountains.
The hotel offers 165 comfortable rooms in five categories according to size and location inclusive of 30 suites and junior suites. Guestroom amenities include satellite color TV, radio, complimentary mini bar, direct dial telephones and hairdryers. Complimentary TV Movies and Internet.
Dining facilities include Le Restaurant, the legendary main dining room for elegant breakfast and dinner; NOBU, the wonderful famous restaurant with a relaxed, informal atmosphere; Le Bistro, serving easy French specialties in a comfortable and casual atmosphere with modern flair; and Acapulco Snack Bar & Terrace, serving sandwiches, salads and pasta. After dark, visit the night-spot of your choice; The Renaissance Bar, the Grand Hall and the King's Club.
