Set in a noble palace, Palazzo Sant'Angelo Sul Canal Grande has been lovingly refurbished and restored to its traditional Venetian style. 26 elegantly furnished guestrooms and suites overlook the Grand Canal; a private pier and waterbus stop are just a few steps away. Our bathroom even boasted a Jacuzzi hydromassage tub (how indulgent!). In the morning, enjoy coffee and a pastry in the lovely breakfast hall - for other meals, the concierge can make recommendations for nearby restaurants. We filled our days exploring the museums, palaces and opera houses in the area.

Palazzo San'Angelo is a charming four-star Deluxe "boutique hotel" with few rooms and suites in a noble palace that has been elegantly restored and furnished in complete Venetian style. The three-story Palazzo overlooks the Grand Canal between Rialto and Accademia bridges and is among the very few to offer not only its private boat access but also its main pedestrian entrance directly on the Grand Canal. The public boat transportation stops directly at the front entrance, allowing guests to practice the most popular activity in Venice: walking and sightseeing. The most renowned landmarks such as St. Mark's Square, Palazzo Grassi and La Fence Theatre are within a few minutes walking distance.

Facing the Grand Canal on the front side, the Rio Canal on one side and a lush garden as its inner courtyard, this luxurious boutique hotel features 26 accommodations, most of which are suites, some with private balcony overlooking the Grand Canal. Each elegantly appointed room is decorated in 18th century style with antique furniture, colourful gold and red silk fabrics covered walls and very spacious bathrooms in white Carrara marble and green Alps marble, featuring hydro jet tubs and the most modern amenities. Other amenities include telephone, mini bar, safe, satellite television and dataports.

The breakfast room with large glass partitions directly overlooks the Grand canal, and is lined with wood paneling and furnished with old world antiques. Together with the discreet and inviting bar, ideal to spend a little time in to taste one of the cocktails prepared by our barman, recalling an old world taste that is always charming.

The warm and inviting hall with a splendid original Palladian pavement is decorated with warm colours on the walls and an old stone fireplace. From the hall windows one enjoys a spectacular view of the Canal Grande. The wood-panelled Bar invites to a drink while watching the gondolas outside.
