It was our third visit to Reid's Palace (part of the Orient-Express Hotels, Trains & Cruises collection), and we were welcomed "home" as we always are, by the friendly staff. For more than 100 years, this renowned hotel has been welcoming guests to its clifftop location overlooking the Bay of Funchal and the Atlantic. During the day, our children play in the seawater pool or the ocean (an outdoor elevator takes you down to sea level for watersports), while my husband makes his way to the course for championship golf. As for me, I relax at the brand-new spa and enjoy the La Prairie treatments. |
