AH, temptation. As the third glass of Bollinger began its insidious invasion I contemplated that I could be in Brussels quicker than back in Manchester. Dining out in that sneakily surreal city. Troughing on mussels, frites and devilish Duvel. Then, as a tease, a sleek Eurostar express slid in right beside us, close enough for us to see our pallid reflections in its gleaming windows.
Inside were well-nourished, sophisticated `Eurocentrics', gathering their Louis Vuitton holdalls and cashmere accoutrements to face the creeping London gloom. The seats will still be warm for you, the Bolly daemon whispered.

Rocco Forte’s Brown’s Hotel Celebrates 170th Anniversary
London’s Brown’s Hotel, a member of Rocco Forte Hotel Collection, celebrates 170 since its original debut. The property has recently undergone a $50 million restoration. To celebrate their 170th Anniversary Stuart Johnson, general manager of Brown’s Hotel, commissioned Garrard to create a special necklace, which was designed incorporating inspiration from the hotel’s history. This necklace will be sold through a silent auction later this year. After careful consideration, Brown’s selected WellChild as the charity of choice, due to the outstanding work they do with children. WellChild will receive all proceeds raised from this sale.
