When I first walked into my room and looked out the large glass patio doors toward my private, bay-view pool, I knew I had found the perfect place. The Moroccan- inspired Blue Palace Resort & Spa fronts the sparkling bay and the deserted island of Spinalonga. From the private seating areas in the lobby-level bar, we could gaze out through huge rounded arches to expansive sea views. The spa is world-class; thalassotherapy treatments use seawater pumped directly from the Cretan Sea. In the evening, dine at L'Orangerie restaurant - I enjoyed some of the best meals I've had in the region.
