Accommodations

Furnished in a fresh contemporary style that reflects the essence of Sicily, the guest rooms at Verdura Golf & Spa Resort provide an elegant and relaxing personal space. There are 203 in total, each with its own uninterrupted view across the sparkling Mediterranean Sea from a private terrace. Set across 230 hectares of olive groves and countryside, the rooms are in two distinct types of building, Courtyard and Landscape, which are woven subtly into the landscape and offer a real sense of privacy and space. Natural materials such as stone, sand, wood and cane echo the traditional architecture of Sicily, and rooms make imaginative use of both outdoor and indoor space.

Created by Olga Polizzi, The Rocco Forte Collection’s Director of Design, the interiors are beautifully appointed and encapsulate The Art of Simple Luxury. She has used a rich palette of earth tones and bright printed fabrics to reflect the character of Sicily, with a design motif inspired by a classic Sicilian tile. Bedrooms feature four-poster wooden beds, polished concrete floors and artful Italian lighting, and are decorated with locally fired earthenware. The bathrooms are naturally lit with stone vanity tops, and some have outside courtyards with fig trees.

Dining

At Verdura Golf & Spa Resort we have created a culinary experience as unique as the island. With four different restaurants and four bars, plus private dining options, guests can choose the perfect venue to suit every occasion.

Buon Giorno is our casual restaurant and serves an international buffet breakfast. During dinner it is exclusively open for children, offering healthy and nutritionally balanced dishes designed for our young guests. La Zagara is a sophisticated restaurant located in the main building, overlooking the sea and the gardens and offers an a la carte dinner menu. Liola is a typical Sicilian Trattoria with beautiful cliff top views of the sea. This is the ideal place for an informal meal. The resort has an extensive wine cellar stocked with many regional wines from around Italy and the world. At La Gelateria, guests can choose their favorite ice cream and sorbet flavors.

If you want to chill out over a freshly mixed drink, the Verdura’s five bars – set in different locations around the resort – provide a relaxing and stylish environment throughout the day and evening. Guests can take tea and biscuits at La Granita, a drink or two at the Pool Bar, and try a vitamin-packed fruit cocktail in the Spa Bar. After dinner, the Torre Bar hosts nightly performances by local musicians.

Leisure

Set amid fragrant, sun-kissed olive groves and gardens, Verdura Spa offers a complete holistic approach to health, wellbeing and fitness. An extensive menu of spa treatments, lifestyle, exercise and nutritional programmes will leave the body revived, relaxed and rejuvenated. At 4,000 square metres, the Spa is one of the largest in Europe. There are 11 treatment rooms and outdoor treatment spaces; a glass-walled, state-of-the-art gym with a complete range of equipment; a relaxation area; a yoga room; a double-height hammam, experience showers and sauna. It has its own four thalassotherapy pools for invigorating treatments, and a 20-metre lap pool for serious swimmers. A separate beauty area offers hairdressing, manicures and pedicures. The Spa Bar will serve fresh organic juices and nutritionally balanced meals.

Situated at the heart of the resort, the swimming pool is one of Europe’s largest, at 60 metres long. Water cascades down from one tier into the next, and infinity-edge views look out to sea. Lifeguards ensure that it remains safe and secure for children and adults alike.

Leading golf architect Kyle Phillips, renowned for his championship courses at Kingsbarn in Scotland and The Grove in England, has designed an astonishing range of courses that work in close harmony with the beautiful Sicilian landscape. There are two championship 18-hole courses and a 9-hole course, all set amid olive and orange groves and with spellbinding views of the azure Mediterranean Sea. Built around a small piazza, the Verdura clubhouse provides an informal place to socialize with other guests. Here you will find changing rooms, boutique shops, golf-pro shop, as well as the Torre Bar, perfect for a post -round drink.
